Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and provide recommendations on high-risk work processes and safety documentation, including risk assessments, safe work procedures, worker competencies, and equipment licenses.
  • Oversee high-risk work execution, which may occasionally require weekend or after-hours supervision.
  • Monitor and ensure all safety incidents and near misses are properly reported and investigated in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct onsite investigations for serious incidents or dangerous occurrences, responding on short notice when necessary.
  • Review injury and incident reports, ensuring completeness and compliance with EHS protocols.
  • Perform regular safety audits, task observations, and site inspections across projects and operational data centres.
  • Document findings, prepare reports, and follow up on corrective actions until resolution.
  • Attend and contribute to EHS meetings, project reviews, and operational safety discussions.
  • Assist in ISO45001 and BizSafe audits and certifications to maintain compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and implement EHS awareness programs, policies, and procedures tailored to data centre environments.
  • Conduct training sessions and engagement initiatives to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Provide additional support to the Country EHS Manager on safety initiatives and regulatory compliance across projects and operations.

The Successful Applicant

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or a related field
  • At least 8+ years of EHS experience in construction, addition & alteration (A&A), or high-risk environments.
  • At least 2 years of experience in operational safety management (data centres, manufacturing, or facility management preferred)
  • Strong EHS technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
