Our client aims to continuously cater and fulfil customer's requirements via engaging experiences and premium products; hence they are seeking for Assistant Director in Merchandising to assist them and contribute in this area.
*To lead product development of collections in innovative and creative ways to ensure category range is in continual renewal according to market trends and competition.
*To formulate strategies and identify opportunities to drive gradual profit and spending.
*To be accountable in acquiring annual revenue, inventory turn, margin and operating profit of budget in your category.
*To drive and align initiatives and projects in line with global brand direction.
*To create and push strategic merchandising and assortment line direction.
*To create promotional strategies and propel sell through of merchandise collection and products.
*To foster leadership and mentoring of your team members.
The Successful Applicant
You should have a Degree in Supply Chain/Procurement and have significant years of related working experience in the Hospitality/Retail Industry from a Merchandising background. It is essential that you can demonstrate your ability to be strong in negotiation and supplier management experience. You must possess very strong influencing and analytic skills to be able to deliver value and advice to customers and stakeholders. You must be well-versed with sourcing, buying and product development, market trend analysis and planning. You must also be fluid in managing P&L and costing.
