About Our Client

My client is a prestigious research institute based in Singapore, dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge in the fields of molecular biology and biotechnology.

Job Description

  • Leading a team of 10+ to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of research facilities to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
  • Developing and executing strategic plans for facility upgrades and expansions to support the evolving needs of research projects, including the areas for central instrumentation, media/buffer preparation, glassware washing, general store and freezer programs, bio-containment (A/BSL3), cGMP, Plant House, tissue culture, fly/mosquito rooms, and radioisotope management.
  • Managing budgets, procurement processes, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards, implementing best practices in facility management.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of facilities professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Collaborating with researchers and stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure facilities support their objectives.
  • Driving initiatives to enhance sustainability and energy efficiency within the facilities.
  • Coordinating emergency response and contingency planning efforts to ensure preparedness for any incidents.

The Successful Applicant

  • 15 years+ working experiences in Bio-containment Facilities/ Science Laboratories/ Clean room facilities etc.
  • Degree/Post-grad degree in any Science/ E&M Engineering disciplines
  • Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communicator and interpersonal relation skills in a multi-cultural team.
