This is not your typical desk‑bound accounting role. We are looking for a hands‑on Assistant Accountant to support the financial backbone of live concerts, tours and festivals. This role sits at the heart of live events, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and smooth show‑day execution.

Job Description

  • Support month‑end close and reporting to regional stakeholders
  • Prepare financial reports, reconciliations and analysis for management use
  • Handle accounting entries and maintain accurate financial records
  • Work closely with operations and show teams to support live events
  • Assist with payments, settlements and post‑event reconciliations
  • Be involved in show‑related financial coordination, including on‑site support during concerts or festivals
  • Support tax filings (GST, withholding tax) and ensure compliance with SFRS / IFRS
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and governance frameworks
  • Handle ad‑hoc finance and administrative tasks as part of a lean, collaborative team

This role requires flexibility around concert schedules, including evenings and weekends during peak show periods.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Accounting / Finance, or relevant field
  • At least 2 years of hands‑on accounting experience
  • Comfortable with operational accounting, reconciliations and reporting
  • Working knowledge of SFRS / IFRS
  • Detail‑oriented, reliable and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Team player who enjoys a fast‑paced, live‑event environment
