About Our Client
Our client, a well backed early stage start up, sells software and services to SMB businesses in Asia with a focus on China, Taiwan and ASEAN. They pride themselves in being highly agile, ability to innovate and investment in technologies like blockchain.
Singapore is HQ for the region and the APAC Sales Director, SMB is a newly created role to focus on adding new logos to their portfolio. This role will be a fit for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, risk appetite and proven record in driving a new sales model to success.
Reporting to the General Manager, the success of the APAC Sales Director, SMB will be measured on the following criteria:
- Creating new relationships - acquiring new logos and new markets while building a deeper network within existing SMB clients
- Build a strong network of channels and alliances in the region
- Hunt for new prospects and work with product and engineering teams to establish a strong customer experience
- Represent APAC in sales leadership meetings and be the thought leader on industry trends
The Successful Applicant
The successful APAC Sales Director, SMB will meet the following criteria:
- MBA or equivalent educational qualification
- Expertise in selling SaaS solutions to the SMB sector
- 10 or more years in a regional role, with experience in selling to SMBs in China
- Strong track record of having created new business, ideally in a start-up product or business
- Strong ability to guide decision making at the C-level and engage country leadership teams
- Experience in building GTM plans including financial modeling, forecasting

- This is a result driven sales environment with clear growth objectives and expectations on talent development. The fixed remuneration for this role will be in the SGD 180k - 250k range and there will be a competitive bonus component.
