About Our Client

A top Global FMCG company that is a market leader in the Consumer industry with a large global network in America, APAC and Europe that is publicly listed on US stock exchange are looking to grow deeper within each function that supports the overall organization end goals. They are constantly reinventing and challenging themselves to keep ahead of consumer demands and remain competitive in current times. As their business is gaining more grounds on market share, they are currently looking for an experienced and dynamic APAC Procurement Manager to be based at their APAC HQ in Singapore.

Job Description

Reporting to the head of department, the majority of your responsibilities will involve managing a spectrum of procurement processes across the manufacturing site in APAC. You are also responsible to develop local sourcing strategies and savings opportunities as well as to manage the development of best procurement practices which includes sourcing strategy definition, deployment and stakeholder management in order to maximize total value contribution across all Indirect categories. Direct working experience in a Manufacturing environment covering categories like CAPEX, MRO, OPEX, Logistics and others would be preferred.Additional Responsibilities:

  • To align capital and manufacturing procurement with global strategies and financial plans.
  • Responsible to lead commercial engagements with APAC capital & manufacturing suppliers.
  • A key supporter of business strategy execution across in APAC (including project prioritization, securing resources, governance and controls).
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, collaboration of teams, and supplier relationships.
  • You will be the key interface between various stakeholders and you are required to bring major transformational change to the business by having an innovative mind set within an integrated work environment.
  • You will need to have strong business acumen as you are required to manage the business and operational risks that would be inherent to the business.
  • You will need a strong sense of urgency and the ability to succinctly frame issues and to drive decisions forward.
  • Develop strong relationships with APAC's Country Managers and direct reports to support regional and local strategies.
  • To develop long term portfolio category strategies that are incline with Global directions for local operation.
  • To manager supplier relationship management program for all Indirect categories in APAC.
  • Excellent stakeholder management both internal & externally.

The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant will have sufficient years of experience within Procurement as a function ideally from a Manufacturing environment within FMCG as an Industry. You should also possess good time management and excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a well structured environment. You'll need to have a broad knowledge of supplier management procedures with a good understanding working in a highly matrix environment.
