Job Description

  • Develop a comprehensive strategic regional business development plan for Asia Pacific

  • Form strategic partnerships, commercial market segments, platform deals and related portfolio strategies, competitive landscape implications and business development initiatives

  • Drive long-range planning and business development strategy based on the overall corporate strategy, financing needs and organizational capabilities
  • Review and generate proposals for customers based on technical and commercial requirements.

  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of deals and partnerships aligned with the company's value creation strategy for customers, based on their current and future product positions

  • Lead and execute business development initiatives including outreach to potential partners and sourcing, diligence and transaction execution associated with partner contracts
  • Generating new revenue streams via networking (existing and new), partnering meetings, industry trends and news

  • Cultivate strong and effective partnerships with R&D, operations, finance, and HR

The Successful Applicant

  • A bachelors or masters degree in chemistry/biology or a related scientific field
  • Must have experience in pharmaceutical contract manufacturing
  • Minimum 15 years experience in an APAC business development/licensing role in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven track record of driving sales through regional business development efforts
  • Ability to work cross functionally with finance, regulatory, supply chain and manufacturing
