The AP Accounts Executive will play a crucial role in managing accounts payable processes within the Offshore Transport & Distribution industry. Based in Singapore, this position focuses on ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

About Our Client

The employer is a well-established organisation within the Offshore Transport & Distribution sector. They are recognised for their robust operational framework and commitment to excellence in their financial and accounting practices.

Job Description

  1. Verify accuracy of invoices from creditors.
  2. Document journal entries for purchases and cash payments, allocating costs to appropriate accounts.
  3. Monitor the designated email account to receive statements of account from creditors.
  4. Reconcile creditors' statements of account and communicate with creditors and relevant departments regarding invoice matters.
  5. Retrieve invoices for upcoming payments.
  6. Create payment vouchers for both cash-on-delivery and scheduled payments.
  7. Issue cheques for cash-on-delivery and scheduled payments.
  8. Update the purchase order system with payment dates.
  9. Organize payment vouchers together with corresponding invoices.
  10. Input creditor payments into SAP and reconcile with the cash book.
  11. Prepare detailed schedules for designated accounts.



The Successful Applicant

A successful AP Accounts Executive should have:

  • Relevant educational qualifications in Accounting or Finance.
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounts payable processes.
  • Experience handling high volume of more than 500 invoices a month.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office applications. SAP is a plus.
  • An excellent eye for detail to ensure accuracy in financial records.
