About Our Client

Our client is one of the world's largest global commodity trading companies.

Job Description

  • Responsible for timely closing of monthly/yearly financial accounts.
  • Perform month end and year end closing procedures including GL adjustments / reclassifications / accruals.
  • Assist in ensuring that statutory accounts are submitted on an accurate and timely basis.
  • Responsible for Treasury and Payroll adjustments interfaces on a timely basis.
  • Processing journal entries and ensure all data are accurate and complete.
  • Prepare monthly intercompany reconciliation and ensure all intercompany transactions are tallied.
  • Process Joint Venture share of profit/loss and maintain schedule.
  • Manage the SAP system administration (e.g. make changes to COA/code creation).
  • Ensure financial statements are fairly represented.
  • Perform bank reconciliations on a monthly basis.
  • Assets accounting (including additions, disposals, transfer and project closure).
  • Responsible for lease accounting (including office, tankages and vessels).
  • Assist in preparation of audit schedules.

The Successful Applicant

  • Diploma/Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant GL & fixed assets accounting experience
  • Proficient in Excel and SAP system
