Our client is a MNC with offices throughout the globe and listed on the NASDAQ. They are a market leader in the semiconductor industry with over USD $200M in revenue in 2007. They seek a talented, ambitious and capable individual to join their team.

Job Description

As the Sourcing Engineer, you will report to the Materials Manager and be responsible for the selection, audit and qualification of local and regional suppliers and fabricators for capital equipments and parts. You will also be responsible for:

• Exploration of local suppliers for new products and parts to achieve cost saving in projects;
• Negotiation of contracts and agreements with suppliers;
• Management of the relationships with and performance of suppliers;
• Development and maintenance of supply base.

The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant will be a degree holder in Engineering or relevant experience. Our client also seeks a candidate with 3-5 years of experience with the semiconductor or hard-disk industry. In addition, the candidate will have:

• Good knowledge of technical drawings and mechanical parts;
• Background in QC/QA and Quality Systems is preferable;
• Experienced in International Purchasing Office (IPO) and Low-Cost Country Sourcing is highly desirable;
• Confident presentation and excellent communication skills.
