Job Location: Shanghai (China)

Job Description

This Director will lead and drive effective retail marketing strategy and execution comprising of in-store communications and brand activation at retail across all the company’s sub-brands in order to maximize full price sell-through while enhancing brand positioning.

The key responsibilities are:

Planning

  • Develop and implement an aligned and integrated rolling 6 month retail marketing calendar to support all key go to market strategies and drive sell through per sub-brand per channel
  • Ensure IFOT delivery of Industry leading, brand enhancing, integrated retail marketing campaigns per month per channel per sub-brand
  • Develop and ‘read and react’ capability to ensure sell-through is responded to with timely strategies
  • Work with global retail marketing functions to develop brand enhancing, strategically aligned campaigns aligned with a China Marketing VPs Prepare locally relevant commercial driving integrated retail marketing campaigns to maximize local commercial peaks
  • Collaborate with Global and other Market colleagues to share best practices and improve processes.

Management

  • Key stake-holder relationships across sub-brands and distribution channels
  • Key performance KPI dashboard of campaign execution and effectiveness
  • Retail Marketing ISC and Activation team
  • Retail Marketing MWB by sub-brand and distribution channel

Financial

  • Strong annual budget planning by channel by sub-brand to ensure the retail marketing plan is reflective of the sub-brand’s priorities
  • Disciplined monthly budget tracking and management to ensure no overages in the MWB
  • Disciplined T&E planning and management to ensure no overages in the department Opex.

Training

The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant will have a mix of strong organizational and presentation skills in addition to a strong understanding of retail industry. The applicant should have at least 6 years professional experience in management position in a global consumer goods company, ideally in apparel / fashion / shoes or FMCG. The successful candidate needs to have rigorous attention to details and high standards of quality with strong quantitative skills (forecasting / budgeting / pricing). He/she shall have experienced in strategic planning and project / process management. Good people management skill is required. Further to that you should be able to present confidently in both Mandarin and English (Mandarin Chinese as native language is preferred). Bachelor’s degree in business related discipline is also required.
