Our client is a well establish pharmaceutical MNC.

Job Description
As the Senior Development Scientist you will be initiating efforts to setup a new chemical entity introduction to manufacturing. Your team will be involved in process optimization; commissioning and validation of late phase projects. You and your team will also focus on the pharmaceutical manufacturing operations through plant and process optimization to increase the efficiency manufacturing processes. As one your core objective you will introduce, support and optimize the manufacturing processes of APIs. You will conduct laboratory scale up experimentation, using analytical and statistical methodologies to collaborate with global R&D in the technology transfer of New Chemical Entities (NCEs).

The Successful Applicant
You will be a graduate with a Good Honours Degree in Chemistry. A PhD in Organic Synthetic Chemistry is preferred. You must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or chemical industry with synthetic chemistry background. You should have hands on experience with HPLC, NMR and LCMS. Your knowledge in technological transfers for managing product development is preferred. You should b experienced in providing input and leading in the plant operations, process commissioning, validation and statistical applications/experimental design. You should also display the ability to mentor and supervise junior staff and technicians.
