About Our Client
With an increasing demand for Aromatic products across numerous industries, the requirement for production facilities of petrochemical products such as paraxylene, jet fuel and kerosene from South East Asia is on the increase. As such, investment into major new facilities in the region has become increasingly important and our client is strategically positioned to develop and operate a major Aromatics Complex to produce fuels and petrochemical products.They are currently in the advanced stages of agreement to develop a $2bn Aromatic Complex in South East Asia and this presents an exciting opportunity for a Project Director to join their business and take control over the 3 year construction programme for this prestigious facility.

Job Description

As EPC Project Director, you will be responsible for:

· Ensuring that the project execution is delivered on time and within the budget parameters of the financial model.
· Managing the alliance agreement with EPC contractors
· Reviewing and ensuring high-level deliverables across the project are met.
· Leading progress reviews and ensuring quality assurance procedures take place during project implementation.
· Ensuring effective communication between stakeholder parties and management of any variations to programme and budget throughout project programme.
· Creating a team approach and ensuring effective management of staff at all levels including inter-departmental liaison with HR and other support functions.
· Discretionary application of technical knowledge for decision making and understanding the implications of such choices for best fit solution and guidance to team members.
· Conducting regular reviews of senior team members and implementing change and policy review as appropriate.

With the sensitive nature of such a project, your duties will not only include project and programme delivery, budgetary control and contracts administration, but with up to 5000 workers and multiple contractors on site, you will be fully involved in community engagement, public relations and media management.

The Successful Applicant
You will be a technically qualified Project Director with at least 15 years experience in senior management roles within the construction and commissioning of refinery facilities. You will be fully conversant with regulations concerning the construction and management of facilities involving hazardous and combustible materials and have a strong understanding of the technical issues involved in delivering a refinery facility. You will have a strong track record in delivering large value, technical projects on time and to budget with an excellent safety record. This will be a challenging role with a 3 year build programme demanding commitment, energy and a dynamic leadership ability.
