Job Description

Offshore Construction Superintendent whose main duty will be to organize, co-ordinate and supervise works on site in order to ensure good performance, minimize costs and meet established deadlines, project specifications and respecting safety and quality procedures and standards.

Duties : Interdisciplinary co-ordination of all works on site, the various disciplines/categories of construction and assembly work.

  • Managing relations with client on site.
  • Co-ordinating program schedules for works carried out directly and works handled by subcontractors, solving contingent problems on site, optimizing the use of materials, work teams and available equipment and ensuring the correct upkeep of equipment and assets used.
  • Ensuring that all construction activities are performed in a safe way through rigorous implementation of company and project HSE requirements ; motivating the crew in their observation leading by personal example and promoting their contents in meetings and in dedicated initiatives.
  • Continuous implementation of technical and organizational improvements in order to reduce construction risks to a level which is low as reasonably practical.
  • Solving co-ordination, priority and interface problems between the different work categories within the specified area, while respecting the wider interests of the project.
  • Monitoring works Assistants to ensure their correct supervision of subcontracted works, material orders and specialist supplier services in compliance with established program, progress and costs objectives, as part of a wider objective to optimize manpower.
  • Monitoring works assistants to ensure the correct implementation of construction activities in compliance with quality standards/requirements and safety standards.
  • Assisting the vessel master in the Emergency Situation.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experienced in Platform & Sealine Installation
  • Experienced in working with Laying and Installation Equipments offshore
  • HSE Leadership and implementation of HSE Management system
  • Subcontrator Management
