Job Description

Offshore Construction Assistant whos duties will be to co-ordinate work and manpower on site for the assigned shift in compliance with project specifications in order to ensure efficient performance, minimise costs and meet established deadlines, respecting HSE and quality procedures and practices.

Duties

1. To assist Offshore Construction Superintendent in interdisciplinary co-ordination of all works on site. To supervise Team Foremen for the various disciplines/categories of construction and assembly work.

2. Co-ordinating Program Schedules for works carried out directly and works handled by subcontractors, solving contingent problems on site, optimising the use of materials, work teams and available equipment, and ensuring the correct upkeep of equipment and assets used.

3. Ensuring that all construction activities are performed in a safe way through rigorous implementation of Company and Project HSE requirements; motivating the crew in their observation leading by personal example and promoting their contents in meetings and in dedicated initiatives.

4. Solving co-ordination, priority and interface problems between the different work categories within the specified area, while respecting the wider interests of the project.

5. Monitoring Team Foremen to ensure the correct implementation of construction activities in compliance with quality standards/requirements and safety standards.

The Successful Applicant

  • HSE Leadership and implementation of HSE Management system
  • Knowledge in Platform & Sealine Installation
  • Experience working with Laying and Installation Equipments (offshore) and Cranes (More than 1000 tonnes)
  • Subsea Experience would be an asset
