About Our Client
Our client is looking for a Chief Risk Officer (CRO) for their China entity. Our client is committed to your career and its development in China.

Job Description
This position is key to ensure implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive set of frameworks, policies, processes and practices for effective management of credit, market and operational risks across all business units in China. You will be responsible for all credit risk related principal activities; design and implement effective risk management framework, undertake overall credit responsibilities in China, lead and manage credit teams, oversee Basel II related tasks and participate in China credit risk committee meetings. You will also assume principal responsibilities for market, liquidity & operational risk and risk infrastructure and will manage these teams in compliance with regulations laid down by authorities. Apart from the functional expertise, you will assume a leadership role and you are critical in growing and training your existing teams.

The Successful Applicant
Our client requires the ideal candidate to have at least 15 years of experience covering all aspects of banking business and you will have a proven and flawless track record of at least 10 years in managing a risk management function covering multiple risk disciplines. Ideally you will also have extensive global markets experience in Asia. At this level it is critical to have effective leadership and people management skills and you will have to be able to build rapport with both external and internal stakeholders.
