Our client is seeking a Sales Manager responsible for promoting and selling their range of excipients and active ingredients into the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Dermatology, Animal Health and Nutritional markets. The position will be based in Singapore and cover the ASEAN market.
The Sales Manager will provide technical and commercial account management of existing multinational accounts whilst also managing new business development activities and customer relationships in a manner that assures that the sales targets are achieved.
This role covers all of APAC and key focus markets will be India, China, Indonesia, Korea and Japan. They would expect in the region of 30% of time to be spent travelling in the region.
This division of the business has a track record of double digit growth and expectation is for this to be continued. The role holder will be challenged with helping to achieve this. Key challenges for the role will be to uncover new customers and new markets/applications for the products.
The Successful Applicant
Suitable candidates for the Sales Manager role will have:
- Ideally a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related technical field
- At least 3 years industry sales experience and ideally some laboratory experience
- Strong sales, presentation and public speaking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel up to 50% if required but expected travel will be 30%
- Preference is for candidates to have an excipients background but candidates with experience in selling to the pharmaceutical industry outside of excipients would also be of interest
