The Regulatory Manager is responsible for:
Technical support to the commercial teams on regulatory and quality aspects
ï§ Answer the technical requests related to customers from the regional markets
ï§ Provide ad hoc technical customer support (on topics related to regulation, food safety, quality assurance, customer complaints, in line with the Group policies
ï§ Provide a regulatory input on local requirements to be taken into account for local catalogues / assess local suitability of new products
ï§ Regulatory review of products developed by local R&D teams (composition, claims, labelling)
ï§ Selects appropriate tools for an efficient follow-up of the regional regulatory developments
ï§ Active integration in the company's Global regulatory network to consolidate our Group expertise; Any relevant information should go from the local to the global organization and vice-versa.
ï§ Propose recommendation for local implementation of new regulations / norms in relation to corporate departments.
ï§ Represent the organization within trade associations, networking, etc.
Quality topics from customers or markets
ï§ If needed, provide support to corporate departments for specific conference call / customer visit in order to give additional information's on questionnaires answers & product information pack.
The Successful Applicant
The Regulatory Manager is required to have:
- 5 years of post-secondary food technology / pharmacy education
- An experience in the field of food regulation would be a plus
- Good technical understanding of food product development and processes ; Knowledge of the regional regulatory environment (authorities, applicable regulations); ability to develop the appropriate tools / network to be able to provide reliable answers to regulatory issues ; Good report writing skills ; capacity to lead / influence regulatory issue resolution
