About Our Client
Our client is a recognised e-commerce platform and has an established track record of success to date. As a continued interest to grow their presence in Asia aggressively, they are currently looking to appoint regional category leaders for part of their business to further expand their strategic growth in this region.
Reporting to the overall Category Director, you will be responsible for the P&L of the category for the region and driving the strategy and direction of the business. Leading a team of buyers, you will be pushing the assortment strategy for the various countries covered in Southeast Asia/North Asia. You will be establishing vendor relations and lead any brand development or new brand acquisition work. You understand seasonal trends and will work with the team to review each brand performance and make necessary recommendations for improvements. You have a strong understanding of the fashion e-commerce business and will develop and implement action plans to help achieve overall company's strategy.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate should be degree qualified and possess at least 10 years of relevant working experience in the related field with a focus on buying or merchandising function. Experience in retail, fashion, apparel and accessories sector from a successful and progressive multinational company is a must. You should have a stable track record of success with experience in managing teams. You are highly analytical, commercial and creative, and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Experience and understanding of e-commerce fashion industry would be ideal.
