About Our Client
This is a global organisation with coverage across most of the world - however the majority of their presence is here in Asia. Whilst there is much to be done in Singapore, as an organisation across Asia their clients know them for integrity, co-operation and innovation.
They have a mature market presence here in Singapore across consumer goods and Healthcare which creates both challenges and opportunities.
As an organisation their focus is to hire the best talent, utilise and develop that talent and then provide opportunities to either step up or move sideways when the time is right.
As a global logistics organisation, they have large scale volumes of shipping containers that port via Singapore and a significant amount of those containers is for the Singapore market. They have multiple warehouses across Singapore which as Director - Supply Chain you will have a DC Manager reporting to you from each location. These are multi-temperature warehouses. Your role will have regular face to face interactions with clients and daily communications with them. Managing both multiple direct reports and an overall team size larger than 50+ employees will be part of your experience and this management responsibility genuinely motivates you.
You will have not only completed large scale projects but also developed those projects them from scratch. From developing the business case, presenting to management, convincing/directing the affected employees, develop time-lines, monitor relevant budgets and execute on time.
