About Our Client
Our client is one of the leading manufacturers of components and controls with global offices. They have a rich history of over 30 years and are always looking to develop and innovate for their customers. As such they are looking for a Logistics Manager to help build the Singapore warehouse and logistics processes for the Singapore office.
Reporting to the Global Director, the role involves the setting up of warehouse and day to day operations of the Singapore warehouse.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Developing and managing the Singapore local warehouse.
- Ensure the running of the day to day operations of the warehouse - inventory management, cycle count, inbound and outbound shipments.
- Manage 3PL provider on transportation and distribution.
- Improvement of the logistics network within the Singapore warehouse.
The Successful Applicant
You should have a Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain with 5 years of experience in a similar function. Experiences setting up warehouses and logistics systems and processes is required as this role will require the person to develop and manage the Singapore warehouse. You should be able to work in a fast paced environment with the ability to handle last minute shipments from their headquarters in China. To excel in the role, you should be resourceful and creative when coming up with solutions to handle urgent request. As their Headquarters for production is in China, the ability to speak Mandarin is necessary for communication with internal stakeholders.
