Our client is seeking a Key Account Manager responsible for promoting and selling their range of specialty chemicals and ingredients into the Personal Care market. The position will be based in Singapore and cover the APAC market.
The Key Account Manager will provide technical and commercial account management of existing multinational accounts whilst also managing some new business development activities and customer relationships in a manner that assures that the sales targets are achieved. You will be responsible for providing commercial and technical support to customers across Asia and identify, develop and drive sales opportunities to deliver profitable business and sustainable growth.
This role covers all of APAC and key focus markets will be countries include China, Japan, Korea, India and Indonesia. You will travel extensively and be prepared to spend 40-50% of time travelling across the region.
This division of the business has a track record of double digit growth and expectation is for this to be continued. The role holder will be challenged with helping to achieve this. Key challenges for the role will be to manage existing accounts while also uncovering new customers and new markets and applications.
The Successful Applicant
Suitable candidates for the Sales Manager role will have:
- Ideally a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related technical field
- At least 5 years industry sales experience
- Ideally experience in Sun Care or Hair Care industry
- Strong sales, presentation and public speaking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel up to 50% if required
- Preference is for candidates to have experience in the Personal Care industry
