About Our Client
Our Client is an European MNC and a market leader in the Medical industry with an extensive global network in critical markets, offering a variety of Medical-related products to their clients. They are constantly reinventing themselves to keep ahead of consumer demands and as part of this commitment, they are looking for a dynamic Japan Demand Planner to assist them and contribute in this area. This is a Japanese-speaking position.
Reporting to the Demand Planning Manager, you will be engaged in demand planning specific for the Japanese market as well as aligning the forecast with purchase requirements. As a Demand Planner, you will also need to analyse forecast variance to improve the forecast accuracy and manage inventory in the responsible markets.
Your other responsibilities include:
- Demand planning for Japan and S&OP activities
- Active correspondence with your Japanese counterparts to ensure forecast accuracy
- Ensure supply meets demand
- Analysis and reporting
- Shipment tracking
- Continuous improvement of the forecasting process
- Identify gaps in the Demand Planning process and refine the S&OP process
The Successful Applicant
You must have a minimum of 3 years experience in Demand Planning or a Planning environment with strong analytical skills. You should be able to work independently and give high level of work commitment with a positive mindset. You have to have good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with personnel at all levels throughout the organisation. Japanese-speaking is necessary for the position as you will be managing the Japanese market.
