They are currently looking for a Global Category Manager for Raw Materials to be an integral part of their business to assist and continue their current growth.
Reporting to the Global Supply Chain Director, the role involves the Global initiatives for their key raw materials (Chemicals).
Additional Responsibilities include:
- Develop mid to long term strategies for the supply/vendor base globally.
- Review and maintain current suppliers and establish new partner relationships.
- Work closely with the other relevant teams - Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing and R&D to implement cost reduction initiatives.
The Successful Applicant
You must have a Degree/Master's in Supply Chain, Business or related fields of study and a minimum of 5 years experience in Purchasing of Direct materials, preferably chemicals as this will be the raw materials you will be handling. Strong knowledge of the Industry, Supply Base and Best Practices will be required to excel in this role. Excellent communication in English and Mandarin will be highly considered as this role works with counter parties within China as well. Strong influencing capabilities coupled with the ability to work well within a team environment is necessary.
