About Our Client
Our client is a global agriculture company with industry expertise in the crop protection and seed business.
This position is based in Bangkok, Thailand with the objective to drive sales and profitability in line with targets. The Head of Commercial will spearhead new opportunities to improve market share and ensure sustainable and profitable business growth for the mid to long term.
The Head of Commercial's responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Strategic sales & marketing planning and implementation: Develop clear sales and marketing plans in line with territory strategy and drive efficient execution at the country level to achieve exponential sales results
- Best practices: Ensure that all relevant SOPs and policies are well understood and implemented by the sales team and the customers where necessary
- New business development: Lead territory commercial development opportunities and projects across marketing, crop protection and seeds
- Profitability and business acumen: Achieve a high P&L ratio and market share taking overall responsibility for achieving revenue targets of income and profits in Thailand.
- People management: Head the sales and marketing team to ensure an integrated and winning approach, optimise customer satisfaction, revenue generation and employee satisfaction.
- Country Representative: Be the client's senior representative in Thailand; coordinate with business partners and strengthen relationships with external stakeholder
The Successful Applicant
- The successful applicant must possess a minimum qualification of Bachelors or Masters Degree in a relevant Sales and Marketing field.
- Required are agro industry experience of more than 10 years as well as 5 years of management experience in an MNC.
- The position will also require the candidate to have a robust network, functional understanding of commercial and legal framework in Thailand
- The candidate must be currently based in Thailand and have current working experience in crop protection and seed business
- Fluency in Thai is essential with established and proven leadership capability complete with sales, business development, and strong project management experience.
- As a strategic and decisive individual, the ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- You are ambitious, personable, and driven with a detail oriented, forward-thinking attitude.
