You would be a critical part of a first class global in-house legal team supporting the business. You will be responsible for handling legal and compliance matters for the Asia Pacific region including reviewing, drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts, providing advice to the business and corporate functions on legal and compliance related issues, and essentially be the 'go to' lawyer and adviser for all regional legal matters.

Closely partnering senior management, you will be the overall process owner for all legal and corporate secretarial matters and to ensure the adoption of best practices. You will drive and support m&a transactions including due diligence, negotiation of transactional agreements, financing, right through to the completion of the acquisition.

Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be responsible for providing full legal support to the business in the region to ensure the achievement of business objectives while minimizing legal risks. Responsibilities would include drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and providing sound legal advice to stakeholders.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a big driving role in the establishment of the Singapore office, including getting the relevant licenses and permits. This is a multi-faceted role involving elements outside of Legal and Compliance. Other than providing legal advice to the other countries and compliance work, you will also be involved in market research and business development in a quest to grow the business.
